Featuring Browning’s distinctive weathered Metal Glaze finish, each 1878 safe is built with natural variations in the steel—giving every unit a unique look and character. Designed to protect firearms and valuables alike, the 1878 Series delivers dependable security, flexible interior organization, and trusted fire protection.
Built with an 11-gauge steel body and Browning’s Force Deflector locking system, the 1878 Series resists pry attacks while nine chrome-plated locking bolts secure the door on three sides. Inside, the industry-leading Axis Adjustable Shelving system allows you to configure storage to fit your exact needs, while door storage, barrel racks, interior lighting, and power access enhance usability across all models.
All 1878 Series safes are made in the USA and include an electronic lock, elevated floor for moisture protection, interior LED lighting, and a built-in electrical outlet.
EXCLUSIVE FEATURES
CHROME LOCKING BOLTS: All 1878 Series safes are secured by chrome-plated locking bolts on three sides of the door (top and sides), delivering strong pry resistance. Bolt count varies by model size.
FIRE PROTECTION: The 1878 Series is rated for 90 minutes at 1,680°F using Browning’s ThermaBlock™ fire protection system, featuring 1-7/8" ceiling insulation, 1-7/8" body insulation, and 1-3/4" door insulation.
